Great Stories

Seth Godin is my favourite marketing guru at the moment. It took me a couple of years to overcome my natural antipathy towards books with silly titles about purple cows, but once I did, I found his message both powerful and persuasive.

Today I found (via Tim) a recent article Seth, How to Tell a Great Story, which seems particularly accesible to NLPers. I propose a simple test, as you read it. Do you start imagining how you might use these ideas to promote your business or cause? Do you feel excited? If you do, I predict that things will go well for you if they are not already doing so. If, on the other hand, what you notice in yourself is fear or apprehension, then perhaps you are not approaching the task of marketing yourself from an optimal state.

The good news, is that once you have identified this as a problem, you are, as an NLPer, ideally placed to do something about it!
